Day 64 - Moab - Springville, Utah

I began my day with another 50 cent shower, then took my time deciding what hike to do. We ended up heading to Negro Bill Canyon, just outside of Moab. It was a lovely hike and a great temperature with storm clouds covering half the sky and a nice sunny blue covering the other half, until the storm clouds finally overtook for the day. It was a beautiful hike that crossed a stream at several points and followed along high red rock walls. We spent a few minutes at the arch at the end, then headed back as there were quite a few people arriving there soon after me. I passed an older woman partway down the trail sitting on a boulder near the stream and sketching, it was such a peaceful sight. We then headed North West towards the Fifth Water Hot Springs hike. I have stopped in Springville to sleep for the night as there is a Walmart parking lot here calling my name. Springville is surrounded by beautiful snow capped mountains. I have spent several hours in the McDonalds parking lot using their fantastic wifi and finally getting updated on my blog again!

She was a little upset that there was a slight waterfall sound from the rapids in this part of the stream.

Excuse the terrible lighting, the arch overhead is the 6th largest natural arch in the US.

Water trickled constantly through this crack, it was enough of a waterfall sound that Luna was not impressed.

It's too bad this photo didn't work out, Luna was posing perfectly for it!

Luna was then getting so excited about running back and forth from the camera that I had to hold her still for the photo.

The trail, arch visible.

Just sitting in a McDonalds parking lot watching sunset.
