I had planned on spending a few days in San Diego, however I could not handle the heat! It reached 30-degrees-celsius today and even with the windows rolled down on the freeway we were roasting. We started off heading to Fiesta Island and getting lost several times on the way with my phone giving me weird directions as my data cut in and out for no other reason than my phone being glitchy the past few days. We finally made it there and spent a couple hours walking along the beach. For the most part it was a nice place, there was a fair bit of trash on the beach, including some glass and plastic bags, I picked up some of it, but could have spent all day on garbage duty. There were a couple cool little sea creatures I found on the beach too, some kind of sea slug I believe, I had a good look at them then put them in the water. Luna had fun chasing birds and other dogs and running up to strangers for attention. We are going to miss the ocean.
We then headed on towards Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in Arizona. We stopped in Yuma as the sun set and all I can think about is the movie 3:10 to Yuma. Luna is doing well today, although she is starting to feel pretty ripped off with the small amount of easily digestible food that the doctor ordered she eat for right now.
Now here's some crappy-quality-but-cute photos.
Luna and her fox toy last night.
She's a lady (listening to a dog barking briefly outside last night).
A little change of scenery within an hour or so.
