We started our day off with a trip to the dog park in Great Falls. I was disappointed to see how small the park was, although they tried to make up for that with some nice statues and agility obstacles. Right as we walked in 3 large dogs charged at us, Luna was absolutely terrified and rightly so, but handled it extremely well and we ended up walking with the owner and them a little ways (a little ways being as far as you can get in that park), Luna calmed down and we left with no desire to revisit the place. The day was fairly uneventful. We did see a huge herd of elk and almost drove to a place called Wisdom, it wasn't worth the 50 mile drive to get there, so we just enjoyed the sign and made a u-turn. The mountain passes had incredibly fast speed limits that had me actually going significantly under the speed limit, which is an extremely rare event. I decided to stop in Idaho Falls for the night and hid myself away in my room from the bustling metropolis that the motel seemed to be. As I settled in, the phone rang, sending my mind racing in to panicked thoughts of what I could have done wrong; turns out it was just the nice motel clerk checking in to see how I liked the room, much more service than I expected from a $45/night motel!
My wonderful co-pilot, she refuses to lay down as she can't reach her head high enough to keep a good watch on the road and all the surroundings (yes, we were stopped for this photo ;))
Playing catch with snow at the side of the road, somewhere in Montana.
Elk in the back of the photo, this was at the turn off to Wisdom.
